Skilled Worker and Professionals
Canada has a high demand of skilled workers and professionals in varying fields. The selection criteria for permanent residents is based on
- Skills
- Work Experience
- Age
- Knowledge of English and/or French
Skills / Work Experience
Please go through the following articles to see if you have the skills to immigrate to Canada.
Age
The immigration as a skilled worker depends on your age. The older you get, your eligibility decreases.
Knowledge of English and/or French
If you know both English and French very well ( read, write, speak ) then your eligibility becomes better.
If you know only English or only French ( read, write, speak) your eligibility is still good.
Lack of knowledge of English and French severely hampers your immigration chances.
How do I exactly know if I am eligible
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has devised a points based system where by you allot points for each eligibility criteria. The minimum points required to be eligible is 67.
CIC hosts a self-assessment system where you can measure your eligibility points.
